This article will cover the top 10 strongest Naruto characters with an explanation in detail.
As everyone has their own opinion about the strongest characters, we want you to read this article with an open mind because a certain amount of research and effort has gone into this article.
Before starting, a small Disclaimer –
This article will not be ranking the following characters –
- Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
- Hamura Otsutsuki.
- Indra Otsutsuki.
- Ashura Otsutsuki.
The reason is that these characters are very complicated to scale and rank as there isn’t enough research material available in both the Manga and the Anime.
The Anime version of Indra vs Ashura is not canon and the Manga didn’t cover it in detail. The problem is that we do not know the true strength of Indra and Ashura which makes them unscalable.
The same goes for Hagoromo and Hamura. Based on statements from Anime and Manga it is clear the Hagoromo and Hamura are weaker than Kaguya and 3 eyed Jubbi Madara. But there isn’t enough research material to scale them above or below Naruto and Sasuke. So, we have decided to not include them in the ranking.
Another thing to keep in mind is that this list has the character’s form and strength till the end of Shippuden only. It does not include Boruto.
So, here’s a list of the top 10 strongest Naruto characters, weakest to strongest –
10. Sage Kabuto
Kabuto after achieving Sage Mode claimed that he was the closest person to the Sage of Six Paths.
This claim is not an exaggeration even in the slightest. Kabuto became the best user of Senjutsu as he mastered multiple abilities.
He had Suigetsu’s Hydrification technique which allows him to melt and escape from most situations. He also had Jugo’s ability to endlessly gather nature energy and stay in Sage Mode forever.
Apart from this, his best feat is taking on Edo Itachi and EMS Sasuke at the same time. Kabuto could’ve killed Itachi if he were alive and dangerously wound Sasuke as Kabuto was not trying to kill him.
He can fight blind so he’s immune to all visual Genjutsu, he himself has a sound Genjutsu that trapped both Itachi and Sasuke. He is also extremely fast which rivaled both Sasuke and Itachi.
Overall, Sage Kabuto is one of the strongest characters.
9. BSM (Bijuu Sage Mode) Minato
This is the reanimated version of Minato who had access to KCM 2.
The reason he is one of the strongest is because of Minato’s skill and versatility. In base form, Minato was considered one of the strongest Kage in Ninja history. He was also the fastest shinobi ever.
Give Minato KCM2 and you get an extremely overpowered character. Minato can use Flying Raijin (all levels) better when in Kurama chakra mode.
Minato also has access to perfect Sage Mode. Minato can also enter into Sage Mode while he’s in KCM2 which amplifies his arsenal and gives him Bijuu Sage Mode.
Having Sage mode gives him better reaction speed, sensory abilities, durability, and strength.
8. Hashirama Senju (Sage Mode)
Hashirama is the Ultimate character out of all shinobi. He is the most talented shinobi in Ninja history. There is no character to date who can match up to Hashirama in talent.
As a kid, he easily ranked to Jonin level and became the leader of his clan at a very young age.
Hashirama can instantly awaken Sage Mode, can heal himself without weaving any signs, and has abnormal amounts of chakra.

1000 hands are strong enough to break a perfect Susanoo and suppress any tailed beast.
Hashirama’s cells ultimately grant the receiver of cells some of his traits and abilities.
His body cells enhance the chakra of other Ninjas who use it on their skin and also provide many overpowered features and abilities like drastic increase of body Stamina and Chakra reserves.
8. Juubi Obito
Obito after becoming the ten tails jinchuriki easily became one of the strongest shinobi of all time.
When he first achieved this form, Hashirama saw him and agreed that Obito is stronger than him. Hiruzen and Tobirama agreed to that claim.
Juubito after he became stable and controlled the ten tails, got the truth-seeking orbs and Six Paths chakra.
He instantly blitzed Hashirama and Tobirama. He became so fast that he was casually taking on KCM2 Naruto and EMS Sasuke at the same time.

He is also immune to all ninjutsu because of the truth-seeking orbs. He can also nullify the regeneration of reanimated shinobi. The only way to defeat him is by using Senjutsu.
6. Might Guy (8th Gate)
In the 85th chapter of Naruto manga, we are introduced to the 8 Inner Gates. Kakashi explains that whoever opens the Gate of Death is granted the power that surpasses even the Hokages.
Might Guy being the best Taijutsu user became one of the strongest characters in the series.
He almost killed Juubi Madara who is stronger than Juubi Obito.
His strength is known to reach such levels that it rivaled all the Five Kage combined.
He became extremely fast which caused Juubidara not able to dodge his attacks. Madara himself declared Might Guy “The Strongest”.
In a one-on-one fight, there are very few characters who stand a chance against him.

5. Sasuke Uchiha (SOSP)
This is pretty self-explanatory. Sasuke after getting the Six Paths (SOSP) chakra from Hagoromo Otsutsuki became one of the strongest characters in the Naruto verse.
Sasuke has Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan which gives him access to perfect Susanoo, Amaterasu, Anton Kagutsuchi, etc.
Sasuke also got a 6 Tomoe Rinnegan after getting Six Paths Chakra. Which further gave him all the abilities of Rinnegan and also some additional abilities such as Amenotijikara and Indra’s Arrow.
Sasuke also got a powerful Genjutsu through Rinnegan which trapped all the nine-tailed beasts at the same time.
Sasuke’s attack potency by the end of Shippuden reached planetary levels and his speed levels have reached light speed.
4. Naruto Uzumaki (SOSP)
Naruto after coming in contact with Hagoromo Otsustsuki surpassed every Hokage and became one of the strongest shinobi in Ninja History.
Six Paths Naruto is stronger than Six Paths Sasuke because of Naruto being the Nine tails Jinchuriki.
Hagoromo gave Naruto Six Paths Sage Mode which also gives him control over the Truth-Seeking Orbs. He also got the ability to levitate and immense speed.

Naruto also got the chakra of all the Nine-Tailed Beasts which made him the Pseudo Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. Six paths Senjutsu also makes him immune to all Genjutsu.
Naruto already being an Uzumaki has a humongous chakra pool (he even had 4 times the chakra than Kakashi in Part 1), but after the Six Paths amp, his chakra is considered to be infinite. It is also considered a near-impossible feat to kill Naruto at this point.
3. Three-Eyed Juubi Madara
Juubi Madara had several forms. From having one Finnegan and two. But the three-eyed Juubi Madara is his strongest version.
The best way to rank him above Naruto and Sasuke is simply by looking at their fights together. Madara was fighting Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura at the same time.
Naruto and Sasuke were clearly losing the fight. He also succeeded in casting the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
If Zetsu hadn’t intervened then Madara would’ve overall won the fight.
He has access to Six Paths Sage Mode, Truth-Seeking orbs, and all the abilities of the Rinnegan.
Juubi Madara is stronger than Naruto and Sasuke.
2. DMS Kakashi
DMS Kakashi is the most overpowered character with extreme hax abilities. DMS is a temporary form that comes with no weakness.
There’s absolutely no way that anyone can rank a character higher than DMS Kakashi. It is impossible to actually defeat Kakashi in this form.
As we all know that Kamui is the most broken Jutsu in Naruto, DMS gives you massive capabilities by manipulation of Kamui.

Kakashi has a mountain size Perfect Susanoo, he also has access to the Six Paths Chakra which Obito gave him through the afterlife. There is no way that you can defeat this version of Kakashi because you cannot even touch him.
The perfect Susanoo is enhanced with Kamui, which makes it impossible to hit or damage it. Kakashi is extremely fast as he was fast enough to blitz Kaguya whereas Naruto and Sasuke couldn’t touch her.
Kakashi has shuriken’s and kunai’s which are amped with Kamui. If either of them touches an opponent then they will be sent to the Kamui dimension.
This form is temporary which means for a short period of time Kakashi has infinite chakra, will not go blind, and will not get fatigued.
This form has no weaknesses and this makes him the strongest.
1. Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is the strongest character in the Naruto verse. To date, there has been no character who has been able to kill her. The only way to defeat her is by using Planetary devastations and seal her.
She can instantly open portals to different dimensions, she can also swap dimensions and send anyone she wants over there in an instant.
She possesses the Byakugan and is also known as the greatest user of the Dojutsu. She is the mother of all chakra which means that she has Infinite chakra.
In power scaling, only DMS Kakashi comes close to her. Her speed beats outclass every Naruto character, only DMS Kakashi could match her speed.
