We’ve seen multiple types of eyes in the Naruto series and all of those had their own functions and things that made them stand out. At times we compared them to each other, but what we’ve all been looking out for is, What Is the Strongest Eye in Naruto?
Naruto has several types of dojutsu. Throughout the series, we have seen various types of eyes-based power and clan heritage.
At the very beginning, we were introduced to Byakugan and the Hyuga clan. At that time, they were known as the strongest clan, with Byakugan being the best eye in Naruto. Kishimoto (creator of Naruto) was still developing the Naruto lore at that time and he wasn’t exactly sure about the hierarchy of power when it comes to ocular-based clans. So, when we are introduced to Byakugan we assume it is the strongest.
We are also introduced to Sharingan very early in the series. Uchiha clan being massacred Sharingan wasn’t very much shown. But Sasuke being one of the main characters, we see a lot of Sharingan early on.
Later in Shippuden, we are introduced to Mangekyou Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, and the Rinnegan which is known to be used by the Sage of Six Paths.
Byakugan becomes pretty irrelevant as Sharingan is shown to be able to evolve whereas, Byakugan stays pretty much the same.
There are other types such as Tenseigan (the last movie), Ketsuryugan, Isshiki’s eye (From Boruto), etc.
We will only cover up until the Naruto Shippuden as there are a lot of inconsistencies in the power scaling of the other eyes.

What Is the Most Powerful Eye in Naruto?
The most powerful eye as it is stated in the series is the Rinnegan.
The Rinnegan is known to be the most evolved and the final stage of a Sharingan. Rinnegan grants its users immense power and diverse attacks which are destructive and intricate.
To get a Rinnegan there are three ways of getting the Rinnegan.
- The Sage of Six Paths appears in front of you and directly gives you the necessary chakra to awaken the Rinnegan as he did to Sasuke.
- By stealing it from a character who has already awakened it. Just like how the Rinnegan was tossed around between Madara, Nagato, and Obito.
- The third way is the only methodical way to awaken it. The process is to combine the chakra or DNA of Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki. As both of them are dead, a combination of their reincarnates: – Hashirama, Madara, Naruto, and Sasuke should also help in awakening it.
It is stated that Rinnegan is the final stage of Sharingan’s evolution. This basically means that a person wanting to awaken a Rinnegan must have a Sharingan in the eye where he wants to awaken it. After having a Sharingan a person will have to mix both chakras of Indra and Ashura.
The above-given process should work. The only character to have awakened it this way is Madara Uchiha.

What Is the Second Strongest Eye in Naruto?
The second strongest eye in Naruto would be the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
To awaken the EMS a character must be an Uchiha who has already awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan. To evolve the MS even further, a person must take the MS of another person from the same bloodline. It can be a sibling or a parent but it has to be the same bloodline.
After implanting the MS of their family member, the EMS will soon awaken giving enormous powers.
EMS will have all the powers of the MS but they will be amplified. Base Susanoo shall evolve into a perfect Susanoo. Any kind of blindness problem any of the MS users had will be nullified.
This means that an EMS user can use as many ocular attacks as he wants without losing his vision.
It also becomes easier to use all the attacks while chakra usage is also reduced. All the previous attacks are stronger and new attacks can also be discovered.
Overall, EMS is one of the best eyes to have and any character with EMS is way above Kage level, strong enough to fight all the Kages at the same time.
Is Jougan the Strongest Eye?
As of today, we do not have enough information to scale Boruto’s Jougan.
It can definitely be the strongest eye out of all the types that we have seen till now.
Boruto’s Jougan has some connection to the Otsutsuki clan which might just make it very overpowered. Unfortunately, both the Boruto manga and the anime have not yet given any information to the Jougan.
We see Jougan in the very first scene where a grown-up Boruto is apparently fighting Kawaki. The anime in the very first arc showed us a little bit about the eye. But the manga has not at all shown or given any information about it. The story goes into Karma very early on and Boruto is still dealing with Momoshiki’s resurrection.
The only powers that we have seen in the first arc were that the eye can sense and see negative emotions, see the chakra network inside the body, open portals for different dimensions, etc.
We hope to see more on it soon, but as of now, we do not know.

What Is Rinnegan Power?
Rinnegan has a lot of attacks. Some of them are –
- Planetary Devastations
- Almighty Push
- Universal Pull
- Rinne Rebirth
- Summoning Jutsu
- Power of Levitation
- Amenotijikara
- Open Portals to Dimensions etc.
These are some of the powers that make Rinnegan the strongest eye.
Does Naruto Have Rinnegan?
Naruto does not have a Rinnegan.
But he most certainly can awaken one.
All he has to do is ask Sasuke some of his chakra and he himself, being the Ashura reincarnate, should be able to awaken it.
Moreover, Obito had a lab with hundreds of Sharingan just lying over there. Naruto can implant one of them, mix his and Sasuke’s chakra and awaken the Rinnegan.
Who Else Has Rinnegan in Naruto?
These are all the users of Rinnegan.
- Hagoromo Otsutsuki – Sage of Six Paths himself was known to be the first user of Rinnegan.
- Madara Uchiha – An Indra reincarnate and the only character to have awakened it by himself.
- Nagato/Pain – It is stated that before dying Madara implanted his Rinnegan in Nagato so that he can be resurrected in the future.
- Obito Uchiha – Stole Madara’s Rinnegan after Nagato died.
- Sasuke Uchiha – Got it directly from Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
Who in Naruto Has the Strongest Rinnegan?
Sasuke Uchiha.
Sasuke is known to have the strongest Rinnegan.
Mainly because his Rinnegan was received by Hagoromo and it was amped up by Six Paths chakra. This resulted in him getting a Six Tomoe Rinnegan which was never seen before. That Rinnegan gave Sasuke a massive amp to put him very close to Naruto’s level.
His Rinnegan is known to have all the abilities of a normal Rinnegan with new abilities.
Some of them are Amenotijikara which allows users to instantly switch between places.
Another power is to open portals to any Dimension. Sasuke Rinnegan was way more advanced than any type of eye we had seen.

What Is the Weakest Eye in Naruto?
The weakest eye in Naruto would be the normal eyes that the normal shinobi have.
But in all seriousness, we can’t say which is the weakest. As per the power scaling, Byakugan should be the weakest as we did not see any developments or evolution to that eye.
Another option could be the Ketsuryugan which is briefly shown in the series with some powers which is not properly explored and cannot be objectively scaled.
