It’s no secret that many Naruto fans were shipping the main character, Naruto, with his best friend and teammate, Sakura.
So, when it was revealed at the end of Naruto Shippuden that Sakura ended up marrying Sasuke, while Hinata married Naruto, fans were curious to know Hinata’s reaction.
In an interview with the creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, it was revealed that Hinata was actually happy for Sakura. The interview, which took place in 2015, was in celebration of the Naruto franchise’s 15th anniversary.
As a part of it, Masashi Kishimoto said that Sakura was never meant to be a special character, in addition, she was a friend of Naruto from start. stated that he wanted to show how different Hinata and Sakura were.
Kishimoto went on to clarify that during his depiction of Sakura, he highlighted how Hinata and Naruto had a fondness for each other prior to their engagement. He also declared that his purpose was to develop a notorious love triangle.
Team 7 reuniting at the end of Naruto Shippuden is one of the most iconic scenes in the story.
Hinata is the one in love with Naruto, who would have been happy to see Naruto’s friends being back together to help him out after what he has gone through.
She is one of the few people in the village who knew about Naruto’s struggles and loneliness from the start.
After losing Neji on the battlefield, these small moments for her would have a big impact on her since the man she loves is back with his friends.
I think it’s evident that Hinata’s behavior towards Naruto after his return from the war was her way of showing her gratitude to him for fighting for their village and for taking some of the burdens off of her shoulders.
Hinata felt happy for team 7 coming back together as she was worried that Naruto would not be able to trust them anymore. She has always believed in him and the choices he made, so it’s no surprise she would want him back with his team. Hinata is also more confident and less shy than ever before.
